For extra muddy, high water level areas: Installing a geotextile fabric beneath the grids can provide additional support & separation, but is not necessary.  Geotextile fabric can help with stability, reinforcement, and weed control, and can help prevent sinking over time. Non-woven geotextiles allow water to pass through very quickly and should be used in areas where rapid drainage is important. For other areas, a woven ground cover is also suitable.

These heavy-duty mud control grids are designed to create an instantly stable and weight-bearing surface by laying directly over muddy areas. Unlike other products that require a gravel sub-surface layer and ground preparation, these heavily reinforced grids can simply be laid over the top of muddy areas and instantly provide support and relief from boot-sucking mud.  They can then be expanded indefinitely by connecting multiple mud control grids together to create a surface suitable for foot traffic, horse, cow and animal traffic, and even vehicles.

Grid as New Mud Control Grids are very heavy duty, rock solid weighing approximately 15lb each, and can support 11,200 pounds per square foot making them strong enough to support tractors, trucks, equipment, and even heavy traffic over areas that would otherwise be too muddy and dangerous to pass.

The design specifically takes equine use into consideration and the grid as new mud control grid has been designed with grooves to accommodate a horse's hoof.

Mud control grids are ground reinforcements that are quick and easy to install, re-use, extend, and expand without the need for ground preparation. They are manufactured from hanit®, an exclusive, non-toxic, and non-polluting 100% recycled plastic material.
